I only recently joined ipsy this past January and I have been pleased so far. They do not have the points system like Birchbox, but they do offer discounts on the items that you have sampled for that month. Another cool thing is that you get a free reusable "glam bag" every month with your samples. ipsy tends to send more makeup products whereas Birchbox sends all types of beauty products including hair and facial care products.
So when picking a subscription service, first be sure to determine what is is you actually want out of it and then do your research. What are the people who belong to these services saying about them? What type of products are you looking for? How much are you willing to pay? This will help narrow down your choices from the long list of services.
Here is a peek of what was in my February Birchbox and my March ipsy Glam Bag!
